Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our water resources group.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting with wastewater/water discharge permitting and industrial pretreatment programs including completing permit applications
* Assisting with development of technically based local limits and implementation of pretreatment programs
* Conducting surface water quality studies
* Writing technical reports
* Completing field surveys and site visits
* Consulting with clients and resource agencies
* Assisting with business development through client relationships
* Some travel will be required
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree (or higher) in biology, ecology, environmental science, or a related field, and at least five years of relevant work experience.
The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
* Completing permit application forms
* Creating figures required to be submitted with applications
* Reviewing and validating analytical data for water, non-potable waters, and biosolids
* Assisting with Multi-Sector General Permits and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans compliance and implementation
* Developing pretreatment programs and technically based local limits
* Conducting surface water and wastewater sampling
* Interpreting federal and state environmental regulations
* Working with state agency personnel
* Conducting meetings
