Under direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain an assigned area of the hospital, or its related buildings, in a sanitary and orderly condition. Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control. Responsibilities:Assembles materials and supplies from supply rooms, stock service carts, transports to assigned work area, performs daily cleaning and supplying of the area, as defined on the floor schedule in accordance with established departmental procedures, prescribed methods and standards. Returns unused supplies to supply room at the end of shift, cleans equipment used in performance of duties and stores it properly. Prepares cleaning solutions, dusts windowsills, blinds, furniture, and other items. Empties and cleans wastebaskets, dry mops floors, cleans and polishes metal and porcelain fixtures in bathrooms, offices, and patient rooms.
