Job: Environmental Services Lead Classification: Non-Exempt/Hourly Job Category: 9 Service Workers Position Summary The Environmental Services (EVS) Lead position is responsible for oversight of daily housekeeping and/or floor maintenance operations in assigned areas. The EVS Lead serves as a resource/expert for staff, creates an environment for safe patient care and assists others in developing their skills and knowledge. The EVS Lead position requires proficient knowledge and skills necessary to prioritize and carry out delegated tasks, serving as a role model to team members. This position participates in the training, education, and development of the team, supporting members of management to achieve optimal department outcomes. Essential Functions -Assists EVS techs in stocking cleaning carts appropriately. -Assists the EVS Manager in training of staff. -Disinfects equipment and supplies, using approved disinfectant. -Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met. -Empties wastebaskets and transports other trash and waste to disposal areas. -Observes precautions required to protect patients, guests, and staff. -Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. -Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers. -Dusts and polishes furniture and equipment. -Keeps storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. -Washes windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary. -Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, or polishes floors, using brooms, mops, or powered scrubbing and waxing machines. -Polishes silver accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings. -Submits work orders for repairs. -Prepares rooms for meetings and arrange decorations, media equipment, and furniture for social or business functions. -Removes debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas. -Assigns duties to other staff and gives instructions regarding work methods and routines. -Performs and documents daily room audits. -Leads by example and always models the attributes of TRMC Leadership. -Completes other duties as assigned. -Maintains a positive work demeanor. -Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Work Experience -Five years in environmental services and/or acute care related service departments preferred. Education -High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
