JOB SUMMARY
The Environmental Services Operator will maintain the cleanliness of the buildings, grounds, and selected equipment for the campus to ensure a clean and safe working environment for our products and employees is upheld.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Rochester, NY
DEPARTMENT: Sanitation
SHIFT: 2nd or 3rd Shift; weekends and OT as needed
JOB TYPE: Union
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms, break rooms, and locker rooms.
* General Labor (moving furniture / helper).
* Snow removal (shoveling/salting).
* Utilize PPE as required.
* Utilize forklifts to move required items, as able.
* Operate floor scrubbers, street sweeper, and snow blowers.
* Mix and titrate Industrial Cleaning chemicals accurately and safely.
* Operate a foamer.
* Actively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
* Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
* Basic mathematics skills and ability to measure and utilize chemicals.
* Forklift certification preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
* Must be able to regularly use hands, use heavy equipment, duck under conveyors and equipment, bend, climb, and lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
* Specific vision abilities include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
* Must be able to work with moving mechanical parts and loud noise levels.
* Must be able to work with hazardous chemicals.

Pay Rate: $18.32/hour
The referenced pay range represents step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Individual pay will be set in accordance with terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
