Summary Performs routine building cleaning under supervision,including but not limited to: mopping, dusting, and sweeping, trash removal, windowcleaning, disinfecting patient rooms, cleaning laboratories, and interactingwith patient in a hospital environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPRE-OP / PACU / INPATIENT AREAS/ PHARMACY/MED SURG DAILY
  • Removeall trash, linens, and red bags as needed.
  • Wipedown sink, countertops, desk, tables, and chairs.
  • Mopentire area daily.
  • Cleanbedside tables daily.
  • Detail/cleanbathrooms.
  • Cleansinks and counters several times a day.
  • Cleantoilets several times a day.
  • Restocktoilet tissue and paper towels several times a day.
  • Checkfor overall cleanliness.
  • Mopentire bathroom.
  • Turnoff all lights.
TWICE A WEEK
  • Cleanwindows.
  • Dusteverything in all areas.
Daily
  • Checkpaper supplies/soaps/bags.
ENDOSCOPY / PRE-OP ROOM DAILY
  • Removeall trash.
  • Mopentire area daily.
  • Turnoff all lights.
  • Changeblack rugs once a week.
TWICE A WEEK
  • Dustequipment, signs, picture frames.
ONCE A WEEK
  • Cleanall windows/ doors.
FRONT LOBBY AREASEATING AREA

  • Cleanrear entry windows.
MISCELLANEOUS
  • Removeall trash from building daily.
  • Dust/wipedown all phones daily.
  • Placeorders for supplies as necessary.
EXTERIOR OF FACILITY
  • Keepfree of debris.
  • Keepdumpster area clean and gates closed.
  • Emptytrash cans as needed.
  • Cleanall windows and doors as needed.
FLOOR CARE
  • Cleansall floors throughout facility on a regular basis to insure cleanliness andmaintenance of floor finishes.
  • Knowledgeablein the use and operation of various types of floor maintenance products.
  • Understandsthe use and compatibility of various types and brands of floor maintenanceproducts.
  • Vacuumsall carpet throughout the facility on a regular basis.
  • Spotcleans carpet as determined though periodic inspection.
  • Assistswith managing inventory of floor cleaning supplies.
  • Reportsneeded repairs and maintenance of floor cleaning equipment.

Regulatory Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
