Activities
* Environmental Team Lead for Area Environmental compliance oversight.
* Provide primary environmental air quality support for assigned operational areas of the refinery.
* Participate in the permitting strategy process for new or modified sources for assigned operational areas of the refinery. Manage the environmental service contractors to ensure permit applications meet permitting scope expectations and deadlines. QA/QC all permitting documents prior to submittal to regulatory agencies to ensure documents are consistent, factual and comprehensive.
* Stewardship of certain environmental air quality regulatory reporting to Local, State and Federal agencies to ensure consistent, factual and comprehensive reporting and supporting documentation
* Manage daily air quality incidents.
Candidate Profile
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science.
* Minimum 3+ years Refinery or Petrochemical Experience (air quality environmental experience preferred)
* Ability to train all levels of plant personnel regarding environmental responsibilities
* Ability to interact and develop a good rapport with facility personnel and regulatory agencies
* Must be able to work outside in all areas of the refinery, in all weather conditions.
* Must be able to climb tanks and towers with proper PPE, as needed.
* Must be able to travel as required for training, representing the refinery for Federal and State agency meetings, and as required for compliance
* Provide support on the 24-hour call out duty rotation.
* Must be able to work beyond normal office hours, as needed.
