What are we looking for?The Environmental Staff Scientist is responsible for supporting Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Due Diligence and Geoscience assessments. Along with assistance in various groundwater and soil remediation efforts. This position could travel 15% of the time depending on project load/location.Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM (may vary)What you'll do:Asbestos Inspections / Abatement Observations / Post Abatement AssessmentsLead Surveys / XRF Sampling / Post Abatement Sampling Mold Investigations / Air Sampling / IAQ StudiesDue Diligence Project Support / ESA ResearchField Documentation / Report PreparationCoordinate Project Data / Records / Reports related to the work assignmentsParticipates in all QA/QC programs as appropriate and Safety ProgramsField Work to Conduct Assessments of Contaminated Soil and GroundwaterManage client interactions and maintain updated dataCoordinate third party equipment, subcontract and power company vendorsThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Additional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesMinimum Requirements & Qualifications:BS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology or ChemistryGood with a series of specific instrumentation related to samplingExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to travel up to 15% of the time as business needs indicateValid Driver's License and reliable driving record Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:1+ year(s) of previous experience in environmental site assessments, asbestos, lead-based paint, and mold assessmentsState of Texas Asbestos, Lead or Mold CertificationsKnowledge of IH and practical environmental concepts, principles, and practices 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Training
