Arcadis is currently seeking an Environmental System Technician to support our Novi, MI office. This position consists of 100% field work, with local travel to and from job sites, with some office support. This position will require work both independently and with other team members and may require routine overtime and periodic non-local travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team. Arcadis is open to relocating the right candidate to the Novi, MI area for this role.

Role accountabilities:

This position requires a person who is self-motivated, has good attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively, organized, excellent verbal communication skills, and willingness to take initiative. We are looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, has experience troubleshooting systems or equipment and being able to take direction while thinking critically and creatively to guide a project to completion. The successful candidate will be supporting task managers and project managers on multiple projects.

* Environmental Treatment System operation and maintenance

* Groundwater Monitoring Well Sampling

* Soil Sampling

* Groundwater and NAPL Gauging

* Non-Aqueous Phase Liquid (NAPL) Recovery

* Air Monitoring

* Subcontractor Oversight

* Site Visits and Documentation

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

* 4 years of mechanical system O&M experience or a degree with relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Wastewater or environmental water treatment system experience

* Wastewater or water license certification

* 40 Hour HAZWOPER training

* Confined Space Entry training

* Behavioral-Based Safety training

* Knowledge of Programable logic controllers

* RCRA hazardous waste and DOT waste handling training

* Fluent in Microsoft suit of software (e.g. word, excel, access, Teams, Sharepoint) and familiar with PowerBI, MSAccess and PowerPoint

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $$44,000 - $66,000.
