Overview TRC is seeking an Environmental Field Technician to join our Clifton Park, New York Engineering, Construction, and Remediation (ECR) teams on an on-call/as-needed basis. The successful candidate will manage and oversee the disposal of waste streams generated at a project site. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible, and personable individual with an eye for detail, quality, and a desire to be part of a growing and high performing team. The position requires significant field work and travel in the Albany and Hudson Valley throughout the year. Some weekend work may be required. A valid driver's license and good driving record are required. The successful candidate will also be required to pass certain client safety training programs. The successful candidate needs to work well on teams as well as be self-motivated and organized to work independently; be detail oriented; and have good organizational skills. Must be adaptable to frequently changing assignments. Must be very safety and quality conscious, abide by TRC and client-specific health and safety policies, and be willing to take safety and quality aspects to higher levels. Comfortable with using current and new technologies such as collecting field data on tablets, PCs, or smart phones. Responsibilities Maintain detailed project notes regarding completed daily activities. Be responsive to both internal and external and external project inquiries. Preparing daily summary reports detailing completed activities. Interpreted and technically report geological field data Perform general subcontractor oversight self-perform (where applicable) field-related activities related to waste disposal (reviewing manifests and verifying transporter/disposal facility information. Have strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. Experience in a construction setting is a plus. Qualifications Minimum of a Highschool (or equivalency) diploma, with additional education/training a plus. Ability to travel regionally is required. Valid Drivers' license and own means of reliable transportation. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, including tasks involving coordination with subcontractors. Willingness/ability to institute prescribed health and safety practices. Proven time management skills, organized, and detail-oriented. Ability/willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Basic experience/aptitude working with Microsoft Office Suite software (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.). Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical and motor vehicle records check. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
