Job Summary and QualificationsAs an Electrophysiology Lab Technologist Lead (EP Tech Lead), you are responsible for providing a safe patient care environment that aids in the diagnosis and treatment of patients experiencing cardiac procedures. You will maintain and operate the physiological systems, assist physicians during the procedures, and perform unit-based activities, which contribute to a positive and professional work environment.
* You will assume responsibility for care of designated patients while on duty
* You will contribute to facilitate schedule flow in the EP Lab by assisting other staff to complete duties other than those designated
* You will demonstrate knowledge in the maintenance and use of the crash cart and should be familiar with the location of drugs, supplies and equipment on the cart
* You will perform specified and general exams for diagnostic interpretation
* You will demonstrate competency and proficiency with use of the x-ray equipment
* You will maintain inventory and order special EP Lab equipment as needed
* You will gather and calculate quantitative and qualitative data which will aid the physician in making a diagnosis
* You will maintain equipment as per manufactures recommendation noted by documentation QC log books to include checks, cleaning and testing of equipment
* You will assess technology, methodology, instrumentation and operation to ensure data is accurate and consistent with current standard practice
* You will coordinate the scheduling of procedures in the EP Lab with physicians and their office
Job Requirements
Experience
* Two years in Radiology, EP Lab, Cardiac Cath Lab, or Special Procedures
Education
* Graduate of Cardiovascular Technologist program OR Radiologic Technology program
Licenses and Certifications
* Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCES) OR If Radiologic Technologist:
Certified through Texas Medical Board and registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
* BLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy
* ACLS Certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy
