Job Summary
The Epoxy Line Operator applies epoxy powder to busbars for insulation by operating the epoxy line from start to finish. This role involves programming equipment, quality control, and supporting various stages of the epoxy process.
Key Responsibilities
- Prioritize and process jobs based on schedule and job type.
- Maintain epoxy powder quality by sifting, covering, and refilling as needed.
- Load parts onto the epoxy line and select PLC programs per specifications.
- Inspect parts for defects, demask, and rework as necessary.
- Manually dip and cure parts not suited for the automated line.
- Update process documentation and track daily part counts.
- Clean environmental rooms and assist in quality control.
- Support additional epoxy process areas as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read technical prints.
- Basic math and computer skills; ability to read a tape measure.
- Teamwork and adherence to 6S standards for a clean, safe workspace.
Preferred Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Work in variable conditions (noise, dust, heat).
- Regular lifting up to 35 lbs.; physical tasks like bending, standing, and crouching.
- Ability to work 8-10 hour shifts, including overtime as required.
