Retama Equine Hospital is a well-established equine practice offering high quality medicine to a diverse community in the San Antonio area. We are seeking an experienced, team-oriented practitioner with an interest in sports medicine, ambulatory services and/or reproductive care. Our ideal candidate will deliver exceptional client service, practice gold standard medicine, and have an entrepreneurial mindset to help drive future growth. Interest in a leadership role within the practice as well as potential partnership in the business is a huge bonus!
REH is perfectly situated outside of San Antonio Texas, where the city life, hill country, rivers, and state park come together. There is a vibrant cultural scene, with annual festivals, art galleries, museums, and a variety of culinary experiences. San Antonio and its surrounding area boast a diverse and extensive horse population that perform a variety of disciplines including but not limited to rodeo, racing, eventing, dressage, and hunter-jumpers.
Our services include sports medicine, reproduction, dentistry, surgery, internal medicine, neonatal care, and emergency services. Practitioners should expect to be supported by an amazing staff, where each team member is valued for the strengths and contributions they make to the practice, while also having advanced imaging equipment, Shockwave and Sound Smart RLT regenerative laser, biological therapies (IRAP, PRP, and Pro-Stride), Lameness Locator, and on-site lab services (including Coggins Lab). The facilities consist of three stocks, three ICU stalls, twenty hospital stalls, four isolation stalls and sixteen paddocks.
