Job Type Full-timeDescriptionTrident Industries is seeking a skilled Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of equipment, including company vehicles, UTVs, heavy equipment, and specialized machinery used in construction and utility projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with diverse types of equipment, and a commitment to safety and quality.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks and perform preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and carry out repairs, replacing faulty parts as necessary.
  • Perform detailed inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and address potential equipment faults proactively to prevent breakdowns and disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, including service logs, repair reports, and inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment as needed to diagnose issues and test after repairs.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams regarding equipment usage, capabilities, and maintenance schedules.
  • Work closely with the Fleet & Equipment Manager and other team members to prioritize equipment needs and schedule maintenance and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about equipment status and availability.
Requirements
  • Valid CDL Drivers License
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical repair, heavy equipment maintenance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment maintenance, preferably in the construction, utilities, or related industries preferred.
  • Must be able to be a team player and have strong communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand manuals and schematics.
  • Basic computer skills for record keeping and report preparation.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
