* Operate medium-weight Public Works motorized equipment in Road Maintenance and Storm Water.
* Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on equipment, including checking and filling fluids, checking hydraulic levels, and lubrication to ensure assigned equipment's safe and appropriate use.
* Load and haul equipment, trash, and debris, fill dirt and topsoil, and operate a tractor mower or other equipment.
* Supervise a small crew and perform other work, including the operation of medium-weight equipment.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* High School Diploma or GED, and
* Two (2) years' experience operating motorized equipment of medium-weight, or
* One (1) year of experience operating the primary equipment of the position; or
* Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
* Must be able to work in all weather conditions and perform heavy manual labor, lifting, pulling, and manual transporting.
* Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours.
* Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at the time of application.
* Must possess or be able to obtain a Hazardous Materials Endorsement within six (6) months of employment and a GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one (1) year of employment.
