The Equipment Operator will be responsible for operating various types of heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner to support our construction projects. Committed to assisting clients throughout the southeast with their civil utility and grading needs, T2 Contracting employs a boots on the ground management approach. With a dedicated leadership team visiting each site regularly, T2 ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Known for unparalleled knowledge, experience, and expertise, T2 Contracting stands out in both Federal and Private Industry contracts.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and graders.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site layouts, and job specifications.
- Ensure proper machine operation and address any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures on job sites.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance.
- Assist with other construction-related tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- 5+ years of proven experience as an Equipment Operator in the civil construction / piping industry.
- Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and site layouts.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Experience with working on Military Facilities is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check to work on Miltary Facilities.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications are a plus.
