Responsibilities:The Equipment Operator will be responsible for supporting operations and pipeline integrity through assembly, repair, and maintenance. The Equipment Operator will work with equipment such as heavy trucks, power tools, and heavy machinery. This role will work with Pipeline Operations to learn how to assist and implement various components of pipeline maintenance and corrosion control programs. Special focus will be placed on:Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulationsAssist in the duties relative to the operation and maintenance of pipelines.Work with Pipeline Operations to perform general housekeeping and maintenance activities around facilities and sites, including, but not limited to, DOT pipeline assets, road crossings, and rights-of-way.Move pipes to and from job sites using trucks, trailers, motorized lifts, or by handInstall and make repairs to oil and produced water tanksSupply equipment to rigs as requested and aid plugging operationsGeneral site location maintenance of ground and buildings in addition to performing general clean-up duties on well site locations and/or at the facilitAssist with clean-up of oil spills and environmental remediationOperate a variety of machines including but not limited to: Dozers, Excavators, Backhoes, Skid steers, and telehandlersPatrol pipelines to locate leaks, using electronic detectors and by making visual inspections, and repair the leaksPerform general Equipment Operator and Roustabout dutiesQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience2+ years of oil and gas operations experience requiredDemonstrated working knowledge of DOT regulationsPossess and maintain a valid Class A CDL LicenseMust be able to pass all DOT physical requirements and have a current medical cardPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions:The individual must be able to wear and properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to work or visit within areas where it is required.Walking, stepping, climbing, or otherwise moving from one location on the job site to another, and normally involves physically getting into and out of equipment using vertically mounted ladders up to and including 10 or more in heightVisually seeing driving operations well (either naturally or with corrective lenses)Standing, stooping kneeling, squatting, climbing, and sittingRepetitive movements by feet, shoulders, arms, wrists, hands and back in performance of workWorking at elevated heightsAbility to lift to 75 lbs., bending, twisting, kneeling, sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of timerequiredThorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.Skill in the operation of listed tools and equipment.Ability to safely drive various vehicles.Ability to communicate effectively.Ability to work independently.Ability to drive in all weather conditions.Ability to perform heavy manual tasks under the varying weather conditionsAdapting to outdoor conditions and prolonged exposure to sometimes adverse weather conditionsRemaining calm during emergencies and respond as dictated by the circumstance of the incidentExposure to working outdoors in all-weather conditions
