Description: Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Director of Business Services, maintain the School District's buildings, grounds and/or equipment. Additionally, the candidate will provide technical/manual skill using heavy equipment to assist with construction and maintenance of buildings/grounds as required. Job Summary: 8.0 hours/day, 5 days/week , 260 days/year Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Post-secondary training in a trade is advantageous.
- Two years of related successful experience, including proven experience using Backhoe and Skidsteer.
- Ability to lift/move items weighing 70 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Complies with drug-free workplace rules, board policies and administrative guidelines/procedures.
- Demonstrates evidence of appropriate literacy and numeracy skills (i.e. reading comprehension, written/oral communication, mathematical reasoning/application, etc.).
- Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.
- Embodies high ethical standards/integrity. Accepts personal responsibility for decisions/conduct.
- Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Maintains a valid driver's license. Commercial (CDL) license is advantageous. Meets all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the district's insurance carrier.
- Meets all mandated health screening requirements.
