Criteria Development, LLC is going for a 1 Utility Foreman and Utilities Heavey Equipment Opeartors to work at several ongoing projects. We have on in Calabash, Leland, and Jacksonvile. Our office is in Wilmington. We are a Land Development Company that does Residential Subdivisions. We own all the Land and do the Engineering and Construction. Criteria Development has Criteria Engineering, Criteria Construction, and Criteria Equipment all under it. We offer long term stability since we own all the land. We are the Client so to speak! Our interview process is very easy. Below is what we are looking for. Operating heavy machinery like backhoes and trenchers to excavate trenches for sewer line installation, repair, and maintenance, including locating underground utilities, ensuring proper trench safety measures, and backfilling excavated areas, while adhering to all safety protocols and local regulations related to sewer system work. Key responsibilities may include: Excavation and trenching: Digging trenches for new sewer line installation or repairs using heavy equipment like backhoes, trenchers, and excavators. Utility locating: Identifying and marking the location of existing underground utilities (power lines, water pipes, etc.) before digging to prevent damage. Trench safety: Implementing proper trench shoring and safety measures to prevent cave-ins. Pipe installation and repair: Assisting in the installation of new sewer pipes, including proper alignment and bedding, and repairing damaged sections of existing lines. Manhole maintenance: Accessing and repairing sewer manholes, including cleaning and replacing damaged components. Backfilling and restoration: Filling in excavated trenches with appropriate materials and compacting soil to restore the site. Equipment operation and maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining assigned heavy machinery, including performing basic repairs and reporting any issues. Safety compliance: Following all safety procedures related to trenching, confined space entry, and hazardous materials handling. Data recording: Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including location of repairs, materials used, and any encountered issues. Required skills and qualifications: Heavy equipment operation: Proficient operation of backhoes, trenchers, loaders, and other excavation equipment. Utility locating skills: Ability to use ground penetrating radar or other methods to locate underground utilities. Trench safety knowledge: Understanding of proper trench shoring and safety protocols. Basic construction skills: Knowledge of pipe installation methods, proper bedding, and backfilling techniques. Physical ability: Capability to perform heavy manual labor in outdoor conditions, including lifting and carrying materials. Safety awareness: Strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to company safety guidelines.
