ATTENTION ALL ALASKA RESIDENTS!The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Northern Region Highways and Aviation is looking for an Equipment Operator Journey 1 / 2 to help usKeep Alaska Moving!BASE SALARY INFORMATIONEquipment Operator Journey 1: $31.28 / HourEquipment Operator Journey 2: $33.07 / HourWhat you will be doing:As a journeyman-level operator, you will operate heavy equipment to maintain roads, clear snow, and perform emergency responses. This includes inspecting equipment, performing routine maintenance, and handling snow and ice removal with plows, graders, and sanders. You'll also manage snow haul operations, drainage tasks with steam generators, and contribute to infrastructure maintenance such as asphalt, concrete, and bridge repairs.
