Based out of Torrington, Connecticut, drive a world-class electromechanical manufacturing and services department by emphasizing and inculcating the highest standards of customer intimacy, quality and assembly shop expertise, and safety. Also, by managing the department's cost efficiencies and improving productivityYou will:Meet or exceed customer expectations in the manufacture of new equipment by managing key performance metrics for safety, quality, ISO standards, shipping service levels, and by assuming the lead role for customer inquiries, concerns, and feedbackDevelop a vibrant, responsive, customer-advocating production and services department by exercising strong leadership and judgment skills to acquire, develop, train, coach, and performance manage talented Equipment Production, Repair and Services personnelCoordinate daily operations requirements and drive production efficiencies by ensuring the implementation of detailed, documented on-job training of operators in Work Orders, Build Sheets, and Work Instructions, and updating as necessaryEffectively execute the daily production plan schedule by establishing and adhering to lines shipped on-time commitments, and by optimizing the usage of equipment, people, maintenance services, and resourcesImprove capabilities of Dymax production and quality assurance by working with Quality and Engineering in root cause analyses of cycle time, yield, and process variation to reduce waste and develop new processes, procedures, and equipment specificationsDrive the manufacturing scale-up of products by managing interactions, partnerships, and projects with Quality, Supply Chain, Sales and Ops Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, and Equipment EngineeringMaximize productivity and asset utilization by initiating and managing continuous improvement of Production Service and Repair projects that result in reduction of operator errors, and improvement of first pass yieldRequirementsYou should have:5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment3+ years of experience managing or leading teamsBachelor of Science degree in Engineering required;Proficiency in ERP systems for manufacturing ops required; JE Edwards E-1 preferredGood communication and relationshipPrimarily hands-on production-floor and lab settings, some office workAptitude for handling service-oriented business with strong emphasis on customer supportExcellent communications skills with track record of leading and developing employeesBenefitsOur company offers its employees:Attractive salariesPersonal growth opportunitiesExcellent benefits packages that include:Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401K)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Generous Paid Time Off and Public HolidaysShort-Term and Long-Term DisabilityFree uniforms and footwearTraining & DevelopmentTuition ReimbursementWellness ResourcesCompensation: $91,000 - $136,000 per year.Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position.
