Summary:
Neonatal ICU Full Time, Mon-Fri, Daytime hours.
The Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining the NICU work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner. Other job responsibilities include Point of Care Testing (POCT), performing preventative maintenance, maintaining stock supplies, and equipment inventory.

Description
1. Decontaminates, cleans, and reprocesses equipment.
2. Assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly patient/department environment which is in compliance with infection control, safety, OSHA, and other regulatory processes.
3. Responsible for documenting routine cleaning of formula refrigerator.
4. Practices optimal infection control processes both in patient contact and equipment cleaning/maintenance.
5. Ensures that supplies, equipment and instrumentation are available.
6. Performs preventative maintenance on equipment and collaborate with HTM.
7. Completes special assignments within designated time frames.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
