Job DescriptionEquity Research Business Associate - Aerospace and Defense (A&D) and AirlinesOverview:Jefferies is seeking a junior analyst for its Aerospace and Defense (A&D) and Airlines Equity Research team with 45 stocks under coverage. In this role, the associate will primarily focus on operating the franchise whether it is organizing corporate access meetings, expert calls, industry events and attending conferences. The associate will execute corporate access events in an elevated fashion and also originate ideas for new events and meetings. In addition, the focus will be on managing and maximizing the calendar of the team among client, corporates and media appearances. The associate will also have the opportunity to maintain industry databases insuring correct and up-to-date information for research reports that are distributed to internal/external clients. The associate will help maximize distribution of research among clients. Over time, the associate will also help develop marketing materials for clients, meet with management teams of companies and attend industry conferences where appropriate.Required Background: Strong academic background, with a focus on marketing or finance preferred Analytical and problem solving skills - strong excel skills will be critical Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail Demonstrated ability to work in a time sensitive environment Ability to work effectively in a team environment Resourcefulness, entrepreneurial spirit and proven leadership qualities Bachelors Degree with high GPAPreferred Qualifications: Strong interest in Aerospace and Defense and/or Airlines Securities licensing a plus (Series 7/63 and 86/87)Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $80,000 - $100,000. The salary offered will take into consideration an individual's experience level and qualifications.
