• The Med Surg/ER Registered Nurse practices under the supervision of the Director of Acute & Emergency Services.
• The Registered Nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care according to SAH policies and procedures.
• Supports and upholds the Patient Bill of Rights. Provides, prescribes, delegates and coordinates nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic needs of patients.
• They will be working with patients in Emergency (Level IV Trauma certified), Inpatient (Med/Surg), Swing Bed, Hospice, and Observation.

• Requiremwnts
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing. - Preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. - Required
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing in the state of Nebraska. - Required
  • 1 year of experience in acute and/or emergency room setting - Strongly Preferred
  • Experience in providing care to a general population - Preferred
  • ACLS & PALS - Required (or will have to obtain within 6 months of employment)
  • TNCC Certification - Required (within 1 year of employment)
  • BLS Certification - Required
  State License Requirements
  • Nebraska

Benefits

Night Shift differential is an extra:

• $4.00/hour, 7p-7a, Sunday night -Friday morning
• $6.00/hour, 7p-7a, Friday night – Sunday morning

Charge Nurse differential is $3.00/hour extra, on top of the night shift differential when qualified and designated as the Charge Nurse

Extra Shift Incentive:

• For every extra shift an RN picks up over their FT schedule (three 12-hour shifts per week) they would receive an additional $40/hour for the night shift.
