Position Summary:

Our ERISA Litigation practice group has an opportunity for an attorney with at least two years of experience to join the firm and support our national employee benefits/ERISA defense litigation practice. The right candidate will have strong analytical and writing skills, a passion for defending employee benefits litigation matters, and will add their enthusiasm to our affable, team-oriented environment. This position will support shareholders located across Ogletrees offices. The preferred location is in the firms Salt Lake City office. Hybrid or remote work options will be considered for the right candidate.

It is preferred to have candidate who is licensed in California and Utah (or eligible to be admitted to Utah). Hybrid or remote candidates may also be considered.

Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor. Qualified candidates must be and remain licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of employment. During employment, must meet requirements for continuing licensure for law practice.
  • Candidates must possess 2+ years of litigation experience.
  • Experience with employee benefits and with defending ERISA and non-ERISA life, health, disability, and fiduciary claims preferred.
  • Superior research skills and excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills required.
  • Strong academic credentials, Top 25% of law school graduating class preferred.

Benefits:

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the expected salary range for this Colorado position is between $155,000 and $182,500.
