Investors Title is looking for an Escrow Post-Closer to join our Escrow and Settlement Operations team. This individual will perform post-closing functions for escrow and settlement operations to ensure compliance with escrow account management, accurate 1099-S and escheat reporting, and efficient escrow and closing operations. The Escrow Post-Closer will also review and approve commercial escrow orders and related escrow instructions for disbursement of funds.
Position Highlights:
* Review, monitor, and manage daily escrow reconciliation and follow up on outstanding ledger balances and uncleared checks.
* Coordinate and perform electronic document recordings.
* Facilitate disbursement of escrow and title fees to operating accounts.
* Conduct monthly review of 1099s records and perform annual 1099-S reporting.
* Maintain escheat ledgers, escheat logs, and work with Cash Team on performing annual escheat filings.
* Perform quarterly file audits.
* Monitor due dates, generate tracking reports, and manage workflow to coordinate and ensure disbursement of escrow funds in a timely manner.
* Provide backup to Escrow Specialists and Closing Coordinators as needed
Position Qualifications:
* 3 years experience in one or more of the following fields: real estate closings, loan processing, accounting, audit, or title insurance underwriting
* Proficiency in using business software. Experience with Softpro Select is a plus.
* Understanding of basic accounting principles
* Ability to work well under pressure, produce organized accurate files, and multitask
* Excellent customer service skills
