An Associate's Degree from an accredited college strongly preferredProficient in both English and Spanish in all forms of classroom communicationAbility to work collaboratively with classroom teachersCultural sensitivity and interest in working with a diverse student populationAble to communicate effectively in English with building administrators, teachers and support staff, students, and parentsJOB DESCRIPTION:
- Provide ESL and content area tutoring to Limited English Proficient students in small groups or one-to-one under supervision of the ESL, classroom and / or content area teacher
- Meet with classroom teachers / grade level team on a regular basis for joint curriculum planning and student assessment
- Contribute to the decisions of the Language Assessment Team
- Communicate with parents as needed
- Attend professional development trainings for tutors
