Job Title: Essential Events Account Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Client Management (with additional oversight by VP of Business Development)

AGS is looking for a dynamic person with excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to fill the role of the Essential Events Account Coordinator within a fast growing trade show and events company.

This person must be a self-starter, client focused and able to work well with multiple departments and teams. They should be able to effectively balance a client's needs while managing strong budget and financial targets. Employee should be comfortable in a fast-paced and goal-oriented sales role as well.

This position will be unique in the ability to not only continue with a current book of business featuring regional-based AGS Tradeshows and Events but serve as a part of the Business Development Team in assisting with the continued booking of new events as well as external sales related to new business that will be both sold and executed by the E2 Account Manager.

Primary Responsibilities

AGS Account Coordinator

● Primarily working with Essential Events and assisting Account Managers with the execution of larger productions and projects.

● Serve as direct or secondary contact for the client through all stages of account production.

● Effectively manage creative service needs for projects, including the scheduling of consultation meetings with clients and internal staff. This includes the organization and distribution of renderings and designs for review and approval.

● Establish project budgets for client and internal tracking for costs, from previous years P and L, and Budget with final actuals.

● Works with 3rd party providers to execute non-AGS services for projects, including facility services, freight coordination and other in-line event services.

● Assist in development of show site execution plans, through detailed production timelines, preshow meetings, and communication with production team, facility, outside vendors and clients.

● Work with client to develop master and approved floor plans for production and sales purposes.

● Submit and track all Fire Marshall approvals, ensuring that all regulations are being followed.

● Must be knowledgeable about general building and show regulations relative to generally accepted Fire Marshall and safety laws, including space restrictions, egress and flow.

AGS Business Development

● Primary project manager for all Proposals / Contract Renewals with input from key internal stakeholders

● Work with Client Manager on new Proposal project management to assist in deadline coordination.

● Assist Business Development Team during all sales calls and meetings and assist in administration duties as needed by VP of Business Development

Work Hours: General office hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. However, this position requires flexibility relative to a wide range of scheduled productions/events.

Availability to work evenings and weekends will be required to coordinate business.

Travel Requirements: ~15% +/-

Education and/or Experience:

● Experience in the trade shows or events industry.

● Four-year college bachelor's degree at a minimum, as well as 3 to 5+ years of related work experience; A combination of education and work experience maybe used in lieu of college degree.

● Advance certifications within the events industry a plus, but not required.

Mathematical/Computer Skills:

● General math

● Must be able to type all correspondence and have at least “intermediate” knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, Publisher, Power Point and Excel.

● Has experience in CRM or similar customer relationship management software

● Must be capable of learning company specific software/programs.

Language Skills: English

Physical Demands: Ability to lift a thirty-pound box and/or general office equipment for operational management.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $51,500.00+ per year total starting compensation (commensurate with experience)
