Job Summary
We are seeking an Estimating and Compliance Specialist to join our team and play a key role in enhancing customer engagement and ensuring regulatory compliance. This dynamic position will work closely with both customers and internal teams to develop precise project estimates, review technical specifications, and guarantee manufacturability. The role also involves managing compliance with various regulatory standards such as Prop65, REACH, and RoHS, ensuring our products meet required industry guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating and Project Coordination
- Prepare accurate and detailed quotes for new projects and parts, considering current market pricing and production capabilities.
- Update quotes for existing orders periodically (every 90 days) to maintain accuracy and align with current conditions.
- Work directly with customers to clarify technical specifications, product requirements, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including manufacturing, to discuss project scopes, timelines, costs, and production capacity.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and the manufacturing department, driving project development from start to finish.
- Utilize tools like Excel for data analysis and quoting, and SolidWorks for creating basic drawings and design-related needs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Compliance Management
- Work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure compliance with industry standards such as Prop65, REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory frameworks.
- Collect, audit, and maintain chemical data records to verify compliance and meet customer specifications.
- Communicate with suppliers to obtain the necessary compliance documentation and ensure records are kept up to date.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Design, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of relevant work experience (preferred).
- Strong proficiency with design tools, including SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with production scheduling processes.
- Ability to work with customer-directed online portals.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8-hour shifts
