- Oversee and manage the preconstruction phase of mechanical projects, including estimating, scheduling, planning, and design.
- Develop comprehensive, detailed, and accurate estimates for mechanical projects.
- Evaluate and analyze project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure a smooth transition from the preconstruction phase to the
construction phase.
- Participate in project bidding processes, including preparing and submitting bid proposals.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and vendor quotes to ensure they meet project requirements and are competitive.
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of current industry trends, technologies, and standards.
- Conduct risk analysis for potential projects, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions.
- Collaborate with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
Qualifications:
- Strong background within industrial HVAC, Piping, and Plumbing projects.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in mechanical preconstruction and estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proficient in estimation and project management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
