Job Summary
The Cost Estimator at Triumph Geared Solutions Macomb prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Working from customer prints and specifications to evaluate products for relevancy with our capabilities
* Prepares an operational process structure cost estimate to the sales department.
* Provides an estimate of the required tools and fixtures to manufacture the part.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or a minimum of three years' experience
* In depth knowledge of aircraft gear and housing manufacturing processes or similar precision part manufacturing
* Working knowledge of special processes such as NDT, heat treating, plating, coatings, painting, and shot peening
* Ability to enter information into an ERP system
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* Ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor is a plus
* Able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
* Aerospace marketplace knowledge is preferred
* Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
Physical Requirements
* Ability to remain seated for long periods of time while working on a computer or documentation, etc.
* Must have manual dexterity to operate computer keyboard and standard office equipment
* Must be capable of withstanding long period of viewing data on a computer screen and/or paper format
