Rate: $1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). This compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size.Location: Changchun, ChinaModality: Ground- In-PersonBrief overview of duties: International Programs and Services and Goodwin College of Business are currently seeking adjunct instructors to teach courses in Marketing, Management, and Financial Literacy at our partner university Changchun Financial College located in Changchun, China. Courses are taught over approximately a four-week timeframe with classes taking place Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (morning only), Thursday, and Friday. Courses will be taught in person in a classroom setting. Specific weeks of instruction for these courses are flexible. Quality teaching and strong business working experience are the top priorities.RequiredQualifications: Graduate-level programs: Ph.D., D.B.A., J.D.or other terminal doctoral degrees inareas such as Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing and relatedfields.Undergraduate-level programs: MBA with 3+ years' relevant industryworking experience in Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Economics andrelated fields.Experiencein Learning Management Systems: Desire 2 Learn (D2L) is desired as well as anEnterprise Software System (like PeopleSoft).Demonstrateintercultural competence and commitment to working with international students,adult learners and underserved student populations.Experiencein an international setting preferred.Abilityto fly on transpacific flights between US and AsiaAdditionalInformation: Coursesare offered on campus in our partner university at Changchun Finance College.Positions are available contingent upon enrollment, funding and departmentalneeds. This is a non-tenure-track, part-time, faculty position.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds. Use of computer screen, phone and customer service. May require bending, or sitting for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Training: As a University employee you are required to complete all University-specific and/or OSHA related training to fulfill your job duties. Specific training will be conducted online or in person. Employees must complete all trainings required by Benedictine University.
