Our primary goal is to provide a safe working environment, while defining excellence through our quality work performance each and every day.Located in the headquarters of Stranco Field Services LLC in Houma, Louisiana, the Estimator will prepare, coordinate and submit cost estimates on all projects as required by our customer specifications. The successful Estimator can work in a fast-paced work environment while collaborating with Operations, HSE&T, and office staff to ensure customer and vendor satisfactionRequirements
  • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering requests for proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
  • Identifies and calculates labor, material, rentals, and time costing information in preparation for proposal submission to customer
  • Presents bid recommendations to Operations management for approval, resolving discrepancies and revision requests
  • Submits approved proposal to Customer for review and acceptance.
  • Maintains repository of cost data for current and future use
  • Coordinates internal resources and third-party vendors
  • Serves as Project Manager for unscheduled service projects (ensures those projects are delivered within deadline, budget and scope)
  • Rotates within an On-call schedule for unscheduled rental and equipment loadouts
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Operations management staff
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years' experience in estimating or project support capacity in industrial setting
  • Project Management and estimating certification or specialization preferred
  • Must have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills used internally and externally (with emphasis on customers and vendors)
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Strong organization and collaboration skills
  • Intermediate computer skills especially Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), PC/Mac, and Outlook; budget and project tracking software experience preferred
  • Lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
  • Bending, stooping and ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
  • Lift and organize files, office equipment and supplies in cabinets and storage boxes
