Role Description
- We are seeking a full-time, on-site Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating and bidding the residential/commercial installation projects, ensuring scopes of work, design, and client requirements are met. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining our sales pipeline, goals, and building lasting relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates, project bids, and budgets for commercial and residential projects.
- Solicit and review material pricing quotes from suppliers and vendors to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with clients to define project scope, identify potential issues, and establish timelines.
- Review design documents for completeness and provide feedback or requests for additional information to support accurate estimating.
- Stay informed and continually learn about building exterior materials, including but not limited to siding, roofing, and gutters.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and clients to support project success.
- Value engineer project budgets based on client feedback or internal/external adjustments.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in estimating for commercial and/or residential exterior building materials (e.g., siding, roofing, gutters).
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented with a systematic approach to tasks.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and scopes of work.
- Proficiency in estimating/takeoff software, such as Bluebeam and HOVER 3D.
- Willingness to adopt new technologies, learn company systems, and stay current with industry trends.
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record (MVR).
- Must own a reliable vehicle for on-site appointments ($500/month stipend provided).
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
- Comfortable with occasional physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, crawling, or kneeling for inspections, site visits, and on-site takeoffs.
- Tech-savvy or quick learner with technology.
