Company: Legend HomesJob Title: EstimatorDepartment: ConstructionReports to: Division VP of Construction and PurchasingStatus: Full Time / Exempt, SalariedJob Summary:Camillo Companies is actively seeking an experienced and skilled Estimator. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Construction & Purchasing.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Estimate new plans and elevations including all plan options.
- Participate in prototype walks to verify takeoffs, building practices, feature level and material usage.
- Oversee / coordinate lumber, sheetrock, millwork, brick, and roofing takeoffs.
- Research / verify bid variances & correct takeoffs as needed.
- Create and maintain tracking document for takeoff requests.
- Create plan cutsheets - joists and rafters.
- Maintain records on bids & pricing.
- Maintain files with product / vendor information.
- Build excellent and fair relationships with trades and vendors.
- Field verify takeoffs and estimates as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, detail-orientation and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with PlanSwift, On Screen Estimating, JDE and Hyphen preferred.
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in an estimating role, preferably for a homebuilder.
- Relevant college background (preferred)
