Position: Construction Estimator

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Monday - Friday)

Location: Salem, NH

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000, depending on experience

Ultimate Staffing has partnered with national-leading construction company looking to add a Construction Estimator to their team due to expansion. We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join their team whose commitment to excellence has established them as an industry pioneer with a proven track record of successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will prepare and manage bids for residential and commercial projects.

What you'll do:

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor quotes, profit, overhead, and taxes
  • Conduct and attend bid walks with customers, documenting through photos, notes, and measurements
  • Identify and coordinate with subcontractors and internal resources
  • Analyze construction plans, specifications, and bid documentation
  • Create detailed breakdowns of labor and materials for all construction phases
  • Execute material takeoffs and secure accurate pricing
  • Manage distribution of plans, photos, and bid walk documentation to stakeholders
  • Prepare and submit accurate, complete bids
  • Deliver final proposals to customers

What you'll need:

  • Demonstrated ability to research and understand product specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Proven mathematical skills for calculating dimensions and material requirements
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Problem-solving mindset and positive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) with ability to create forms, letters, and spreadsheets
