Job Title: EstimatorJob DescriptionLeads the development of conceptual and feasibility cost model estimates utilizing historic benchmarking information and industry experience to develop complete early stage cost estimate forecasting. Obtains accurate and up-to-date pricing information from databases, contractors, suppliers, etc., to utilize in estimates. Inputs estimate takeoff information for specific disciplines into CATO and develops unit cost pricing. Works with architects and engineers to develop a clear understanding of the project scope during the preparation of estimates. Develops relationships with members of A/E firms and project team members. Reviews and finalizes estimate unit cost pricing to reflect current market conditions and specific project logistics. Reviews historic benchmark cost information and highlights variances. Assists upper management in ways to make projects more efficient. Seeks ways to improve the accuracy and efficiency of tasks. Maintains and updates the data library of costs. Prepares cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and explains variance cost drivers.Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand the project scope.
  • Build relationships with A/E firms and project team members.
  • Review and finalize unit cost pricing based on current market conditions and project logistics.
  • Analyze historic benchmark cost information and highlight variances.
  • Assist management in identifying ways to improve project efficiency.
  • Seek continuous improvements in task accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain and update the cost data library.
  • Prepare cost reconciliation between estimates and explain variance cost drivers.
Essential Skills
  • 5 years of estimating in gas/pipeline projects.
  • Experience with estimation, construction, bidding, project management, and construction management.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, engineering, and Bluebeam.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Associates Degree in Construction Management or Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Experience with commercial construction, electrical, mechanical, preconstruction, cost estimation, proposals, construction documents, civil engineering, and budgeting.
