Job Description:
Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our construction team. The Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and providing support throughout the bidding process. This role is vital in ensuring accurate pricing and resource allocation for commercial construction projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
  • Prepare detailed cost breakdowns for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather project details and requirements.
  • Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals.
  • Maintain and update a database of costs and historical pricing information.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project feasibility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards during the estimating process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial construction.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
