Job Description:

We are currently hiring a full-time Mechanical Estimator to work in our Toledo, Ohio office. The position provides estimating services for various types of projects and contract formats, producing detailed estimates at various phases of design and construction. Other responsibilities include: Performs material and equipment takeoffs, obtains vendor pricing, assigns labor factors based on established labor estimating manuals, consolidates labor and material estimates into a summary proposal, creates project milestone schedules; reads and interprets client-supplied bid documents, provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc., coordinates total estimating effort relevant to a particular bid or project, maintains files or working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current information on prices from suppliers; tracks awarded contracts as required - may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring material, etc. Nooter Toledo offers a flexible work schedule.   • College degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience preferred.
  • Two to five years of industrial process piping estimating experience.
  • Proven ability to estimate mechanical projects highly desired.
  • Working knowledge of estimating databases and software (MCAA, Accubid, etc.)
  • Ability to perform conceptualized estimates (schematic design, design development, and construction).
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
