The Estimator will play a critical role on the client's preconstruction team. DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial and pharmaceutical projects.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to define project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost data.
- Perform quantity take-offs, labor and material cost analysis, and unit pricing to build comprehensive estimates.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and manage risks associated with cost, schedule, and scope.
- Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Ensure all estimates are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and client requirements.
- Maintain and track historical data for estimating purposes and continually improve estimating practices.
- Provide input on constructability and value engineering solutions to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Assist with contract negotiations and scope of work agreements. ProfileQualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience in industrial and pharmaceutical construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor costs specific to industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.
- Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
- Solid understanding of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to industrial and pharma construction.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to develop accurate, reliable cost estimates.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required. Job Offer
