Our client is seeking an Ethics & Compliance Investigator to join their team. The Ethics and Compliance team is responsible for managing internal investigations and ensuring thorough and timely inquiries into irregularities, fraud, and other violations of company policies, the Standards of Conduct, and applicable laws. This position requires an individual who can independently handle complex investigations and interact with multiple stakeholders, including union members and business leaders.
- Conduct time-sensitive, complex investigations into violations of the company's Standards of Conduct, policies, or laws, including harassment, discrimination, fraud, and other irregularities.
- Independently formulate investigation plans, conduct interviews with witnesses, examine evidence, and draft detailed investigation reports for senior management and human resources.
- Provide necessary follow-up to ensure that appropriate disciplinary and corrective actions are taken.
- Assist with other compliance program initiatives such as training and corporate communications.
- Interact with union members, business leaders, and external stakeholders (e.g., law enforcement) to support investigations.
- Provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences and compose reports for leadership review.
- Ensure proper storage and maintenance of investigation case data according to company procedures.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience conducting internal corporate or similar investigations.
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of experience conducting internal corporate investigations.
- Candidate must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to handle sensitive and highly confidential information.
- Experience evaluating compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with investigations related to EEO and anti-harassment laws, fraud, and other ethical violations.
