Our challenge We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced ETL Test Engineer to join our Quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Strong on ETL Testing with Strong DB Engineer. Additional Information The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York, NY is $105k - $110/year & benefits (see below). The Role Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for ETL processes.
  • Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform backend database testing, including writing and executing SQL queries.
  • Identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies in data.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Automate ETL testing processes where possible to improve efficiency.
Requirements: You are:
  • Strong experience in ETL testing and data validation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge of backend databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
It would be great if you also had:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell scripting) for test automation.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
