PROGRAM: Adult Safety & Responsibility Program (SRP)

ROLE TYPE: Fee-for-Service

JOB OVERVIEW:

Joseph J. Peters Institute seeks a fee-for-service Evaluator & Clinician for its Safety and Responsibility Program (SRP). This individual will perform Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations (CBEs) with risk assessment measures as well as facilitate group and individual therapy. The Evaluator & Clinician will also participate in weekly consultation groups. This person will be responsible for providing the highest quality clinical services to participants of JJPI's Safety and Responsibility Programs (SRP). This person will report to the Administrative and Clinical Coordinator of SRP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Provide the highest quality clinical services to participants at JJPI.

* Develop and implement innovative techniques to serve the participants of JJPI more effectively.

* Perform Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluations (CBEs).

* Participate in resiliency reviews and staffing for participants who are at an impasse in treatment or are ready for discharge.

* Provide individual and/or group therapy to participants.

* Responsible for assuring the clinical quality of evaluation reports and assuring timeliness of completion of reports (2 weeks for initial drafts and 30 days for final drafts).

* Monitor and ensure high utilization levels and effectiveness of clinical work completed by supervisees.

* Provide evidence-based treatment to participants.

Clinical Responsibilities

* Provide CBEs for adults in SRP.

* Analyze and integrate data gathered during evaluations to provide diagnostic conclusions and treatment recommendations.

* Provide comprehensive written reports to guide treatment and to respond to referral sources.

* Attend clinical meetings and scheduled supervisions.

* Maintain clinical records in accordance with agency, managed care, and licensing requirements.

* Seek out appropriate professional training to meet licensing requirements.

* Participate in training for selected agency Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) such as Prolonged Exposure (PE), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc.

* Assist in developing and implementing new, innovative treatment strategies.

* Develop and maintain professional relationships with other agencies.

Major Job Criteria & Performance Standards

* Complete progress notes within 24 hours of each individual session (or 72 hours of each group session) with participants.

* Complete updated resiliency plans every 15th session or every 90 days (whichever occurs first).

* Complete a discharge summary within 48 hours of the termination date.

* Follow up appropriately with participants and Probation when a participant misses a session.

* Complete and provide statistical reports (case management and clinical hours) at the end of each week/pay period.

* Provide CBEs and CBRs to participants in SRP.

* Provide MSE & Clinical Formulation for CBEs.

* Attend Resiliency Reviews and Staffing when needed.

Administrative Responsibilities

* Coordinate the completion of an evaluation report within 30 days of the intake appointment.

* Ensure the timely and accurate submission of all evaluation-related paperwork.

Organizational Responsibilities

* Work effectively with other staff and contribute to the development of a team approach to treatment.

* Provide input into new programs and work to implement more effective methods of delivering services.

* Understand and communicate with other programs within the agency and work to foster a collaborative team approach across all programs.

* Assist in developing and maintaining a referral network.

Financial Responsibilities

* Understand the impact of caseload requirements on the financial performance of the agency.

* Understand the payment source of each participant.

* Complete all forms required to submit bills for services in a timely manner and in accordance with JJPI policies and procedures.

Marketing

* Promote the agency in interactions with other agencies and professionals.

* Participate in market planning for the agency as required.

EDUCATION: Master's degree in a field related to clinical work from an accredited program

EXPERIENCE: Significant clinical experience in forensics, specifically working with individuals who have engaged in illegal sexual behaviors or domestic and intimate partner violence

PAY GRADE: 18
