Responsibilities
- Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
- Observes patients for drug reactions and reports any problems to Charge nurse
- Monitors patient's vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stocks the medication cart
- Records what medications and dosages were given for the day
- Performs routine procedures under established protocols including phlebotomy and electrocardiograms
- Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies
Qualifications
- Current state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Current Medication Aide Certification
- Current CPR certificate
- Proficient with electronic medical records
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
