We are looking for an events & communications intern to join our highly collaborative marketing team for 35-40 hours per week through the end of the year! A successful candidate will be organized, creative, able to move quickly and think on your feet, and a strong writer. You will support projects across the marketing communications team, including event planning, social media management, and public relations while strengthening your skills in a fast-paced tech startup environment.This is a hybrid role for someone in the New York City area able to work 35-40 hours per week and is willing to come into the NYC office and be on-site at NYC-based events as needed.Job Responsibilities
  • Event Support -Event research, planning, logistics, deadline management, and swag coordination for sponsored and hosted events, including on-site support for client party in NYC in October
  • Social Media Management - Assist in managing and executing social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, and Facebook, creating engaging content and monitoring results
  • Public Relations Assistance - Collaborate with external PR agency to track deadlines, develop press releases, thought leadership commentary, pitch angles, and bylines
  • Content Calendar Maintenance - Manage content calendar and contribute to the development (ideation & writing) of blog posts and website content as needed
  • Brand Management - Support the rollout of a brand refresh, ensuring consistent messaging and design across materials
Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event planning, or other related field; or equivalent relevant experience (Current students are welcome to apply, but need to be available for 35-40 hours per week and based in the NYC area)
  • Knowledge or interest in technology, advertising, adtech, and/or digital media
  • Positive attitude with the desire to work in marketing in a high-growth, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong writing and editing skills
  • Experience managing and creating content for social media platforms
  • Creative mindset with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous marketing, communications, or event internships are a plus
  • Experience in Splash, Marketo, and/or Canva a plus
