Event Coordinator PT (15 hrs) We're hiring an Event Coordinator who will manage all moving parts in event planning for special Vineyard Columbus events of our Next Steps/Small Groups Ministry. The Event Coordinator will work with pastors and key staff members to plan, prepare, and manage logistics for events including Big Small Groups, Singles events, and the All Leader Gathering to name a few. Aside from regular weekend services at our five campuses across Central Ohio, our Cooper Road Campus is also home to our Vineyard Community Center which offers an Early Childhood Center, After-School and Summer Programs, Middle and High School Life Readiness, Sports and Exercise Programs, free Health Clinics, a free Legal Clinic, Immigration Counseling Services, ESL classes and more. What you'll do:
- Work with Next Steps staff to brainstorm event details including day/time/location, room set up, décor, food, and more
- Work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to plan and execute event details effectively and efficiently, i.e., facilities, finance, communications, and leadership teams
- Operate and manage internal databases such as eSpace and church management systems
- Manage supply orders for events and organize left over supplies for future use
- Work with volunteers and staff to support events (set-up, prep, registration, and cleanup)
- Ensure attendance is properly reported in our database
- Send follow-up emails, enter participants in a follow-up workflow database, send surveys and debrief with stakeholders as needed
What you bring:
- 3 years' experience in event support management
- Knowledge of office technology (Microsoft Office and Teams) and database use
- Proven experience managing multiple tasks and details
- Strong attention to detail
