To learn more about us, visit www.funatixevents.com.The PositionFunatix Events is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Bismarck, ND. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for managing the execution of various events from concept to completion. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of both large-scale community events and private functions, handling everything from logistics and vendor management to budgeting and post-event evaluation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for event planning, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Roles and ResponsibilitiesEvent Planning and Execution:Develop and execute detailed event plans, timelines, and production schedules for various types of events, including rodeos, marathons, festivals, and corporate functions.Client Collaboration:Work closely with clients to understand their event goals and objectives. Provide creative and practical solutions to bring their vision to life.Vendor Management:Source, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors, including food/beverage, entertainers, AV providers, and other event service providers.Budget Management:Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring events are executed within financial parameters without compromising on quality.Logistics Coordination:Oversee event logistics, including venue selection, permits, transportation, and on-site setup and breakdown.Marketing and Promotion:Collaborate with the VP of Sales and Sponsorship Service & Activation Manager to create events that naturally increase attendance and generate buzz through social media, email campaigns, earned media, and other marketing initiatives.Sponsorships and Partnerships:Assist in identifying potential sponsors and partners for events, helping to secure partnerships that align with the goals of the event.RSVP Registration Management:Manage event registration platforms and processes, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience for attendees and streamlined communication with clients.Event Day Operations:Serve as a primary point of contact during specific Funatix Events. This includes managing staff, troubleshooting issues as they arise, and ensuring that the event runs smoothly from start to finish.Post-Event Evaluation:Conduct post-event analysis/surveys to measure success, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement.General Team ResponsibilitiesFunatix Event Availability:Expected to be available for all Funatix Events including but not limited to the Mandan Rodeo Days, company picnics, festivals, etc. Full event list will be provided. This includes nights, weekends and holidays.Bismarck Larks Game Availability:Assist with Bismarck Larks games or events as needed.Event Day / Hours:Expected to be available from mid to late morning through the end of the event. Schedule will vary on an event basis.Non-Event Hours:Expected to attend office hours of 9 AM-5 PM each weekday.Assist with event set-up, tear-down and all other aspects of event management at Funatix EventsAll other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesPrevious experience in event planning, event management, or a related field requiredStrong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneouslyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to last-minute changesAssertive, persistent, and results orientedAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize and think strategicallyEnthusiastic team player with strong leadership skillsSelf-motivated, ability to take initiative and learnProficient in Google Workspace including Gmail, Sheets, Docs, and FormsThe ability to work extended hours upwards of 14 hours and lift 30-50 lbsUphold our core values: Best, Uplift, Nerve, Teamwork. All vacation requests are to be received at least two weeks prior to needed time off. Vacation time is discouraged from April 1- October 1 due to event responsibilities.
