Location: Primarily Anaheim CA with occasional travel and telework flexibility
Full-Time: 40 Hours a week
Pay Scale: $33 - $37 per hour

The Event Coordinator
* Will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth execution of events in Southern California.
* Your mission, if you choose to accept it, will be to produce high-level and detailed events in Southern California including UCON's Public Works Summit, PAC event, Golf Tournament, Awards Ceremony and Board Installation, and Executive Leadership Retreat. You will assist cross-departmentally by ensuring the UCON event brand guidelines are maintained in smaller events produced by other departments. You will also assist in the planning and hosting of in-person education classes in Southern California.
o Public Works Summit: An event for public works contractors across the state to learn about the region's market share opportunities and engage with agency and industry leaders. This event hosts 300 attendees and a dozen agencies and is growing.
o Southern CA Golf Tournament: This is a sold-out golf tournament with 6+ course activations, breakfast, lunch, and an awards ceremony.
o Awards Ceremony: The DIG Awards is an industry event honoring a person who embodies dignity, integrity, and generosity in the construction industry, regardless of Association affiliation. This event is hosted at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The event is a fun evening with a cocktail reception, dinner, awards ceremony, and afterparty.
o Board Installation: This event is a luncheon hosted the day before the DIG Awards at the Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The event honors the outgoing President of United Contractors and UCON awardees and installs the incoming Board of Directors and President.
o Executive Leadership Retreat: Held at The Ranch in Laguna Beach, this 2-day event is by invitation only. Invitees are selected based on their level of involvement in the association and industry.

To be successful in this role, you are
* Detail-oriented
* Experienced corporate event planner a must!
* Understand the Southern California culture, geography, and event venues
* Experienced with CRM and CMS software (Salesforce preferred)
* A self-starter who can maintain a schedule and prioritize multiple projects
* A born contributor that likes to make great ideas even better
* Outgoing and builds positive relationships easily

You must have
* High School diploma or higher
* 1-2 years of experience as a Corporate Event Planner
* Strong computer and communication skills
