About the Position:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to drive event sales and oversee the successful execution of events at our premier venue. This is a 1099 contract position that combines strategic sales efforts with hands-on event coordination. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in event sales and management and be excited about the potential to earn significant commission, with the opportunity to make over $100,000 annually by hitting sales targets.
Primary Responsibilities:
Event Sales and Lead Generation:
- Actively generate and qualify leads for private and corporate events through various channels, including networking, partnerships, cold outreach, and inbound inquiries.
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve an annual target of $300,000 in event sales.
- Conduct engaging venue tours, showcasing the unique features and benefits of our space to potential clients.
- Negotiate and close event contracts efficiently, providing a seamless booking experience for clients.
Event Coordination:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from the time of booking through the event day, ensuring all details are managed to perfection.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and vision, providing expert guidance and recommendations for a successful event.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all logistics, from setup to breakdown, are handled smoothly and professionally.
- Be present at key events to oversee operations and handle any on-site issues, ensuring client satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and referrals.
- Provide excellent customer service, anticipating client needs and going above and beyond to exceed expectations.
- Gather feedback from clients post-event and implement improvements to enhance future experiences.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Maintain a detailed sales pipeline and provide regular updates on sales activities, performance metrics, and progress toward goals.
- Analyze sales performance and event success metrics to identify areas for improvement and share insights with the leadership team.
Compensation:
- Base retainer of $30,000 per year.
- Commission on sales with the potential to earn over $100,000 annually.
