Marlow Events, a full-service catering and event production company from The Marlow Collective, is seeking an Event Planner & Production Manager to join our leadership team!

The Planner & Production Manager reports to the Chief Operating Officer and together with the operations team is responsible for the planning, design, coordination, and execution of all contracted events. This includes but is not limited to operations, creative direction, and service initiatives. In partnership with the Events executive team, they will work to create packages and develop contracts which reflect what we are best able to do as a whole operation. The ideal candidate will be interested in a career in hospitality and food & beverage and will be comfortable dealing directly with diverse clientele in a very fast-paced environment. We anticipate substantial growth in the coming years and are looking for a candidate who wants to grow with us and play a key role in our success.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Design
- Work closely with clients to execute their vision to include:
- Event communication and organization through Tripleseat
- Organizing client menu tastings
- Placing all rental and vendor orders and reviewing invoices
- Uphold the standards and creative direction of our brand in keeping with the look / feel of our group of businesses
- Identify, research, and propose upgrades and improvements to our operations with an eye to increasing revenue and / or reducing costs
Coordination
- Compile all event documentation from BEOs to bar pull sheets to timelines and schedules, and co-lead weekly BEO meetings
- Apply for all necessary permits (SLA, etc.)
- Plan and attend site visits for offsite events
Execution
- Help develop and maintain service documents, procedures, and standards for all types of events
- Coach a talented team of contracted events staff to ensure service standards and protocol are being followed by each
- Ensure that all Event Captains have the tools to independently manage and take agency for all aspects of the event / client service
- Attend and assist with events
- Identify and follow-up on any event issues / service needs to always improve our events offerings
Sales & Operations Support
- Manage beverage inventory and ordering
- Track event reconciliation and COGS reporting
- Assisting with client outreach and marketing as needed
- Facilitate vendor and venue partnerships
Skills & Abilities
- Organized and detail-oriented: must have the ability to create systems for managing daily tasks
- Works well under pressure: must be able to gracefully respond to demand in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter: must have the desire to drive the business forward and understand its many moving parts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated, high level of energy and work ethic
- Fluency with Tripleseat, Microsoft Office, and the Google suite
- A minimum of 3 years working in an event-focused position required
- A minimum of 2 years of Front of House Restaurant experience preferred
- Available for a Tuesday – Saturday schedule with flexibility as required by event needs
- Driver's license helpful but not required
