Description The Great Hall & Conference Center is seeking friendly, dependable individuals to work part-time as an Event Representative. The Event Representative provides on-site supervision of events taking place at the facility, ensuring that contractual agreements are met. The individual must be customer service oriented and willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.Schedule: Flexible, requiring night and weekend hours as event schedule demands. Examples of Duties
  • Open and secure facility before and after events.
  • Direct and coordinate activities with food service and other vendors and oversee all details during event.
  • Set-up and break down of chairs, tables, stages, audio-visual and other equipment in accordance with lease requirements.
  • Explain policies and procedures for use of the facility.
  • Respond to emergency situations by determining and implementing appropriate procedures.
  • Inspect facility before, during and after function for cleanliness and safety, touch up areas as needed.
  • Produce event reports noting any significant problems.
Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable of event operations
  • Ability to set-up and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints, and resolve conflicts in a professional tactful manner
  • Ability to remain courteous when faced with difficult or angry people
  • Organized and attention to details
  • Ability to lift and move at least 15 lbs.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, sometimes with short notice
Requirements High School graduate and experience in hospitality services. Special Requirements: CPR/AED Certified or ability to obtain.Information about employee benefits can be found on our website at:
